Social Media Archive BETA is live!

The State Archives has launched a beta version of its new Social Media Archive, the NC State Government Web Site Archive & Access Program: Social Media Archive BETA. The archive is currently collecting a pilot group of state agency accounts, and its public interface allows visitors to search posts, comments, photos, and tweets. The tool, built by Durham-based ArchiveSocial, helps state agencies fulfill records retention needs through the instantaneous capture of social media content and quick delivery of this content to a public access portal. Read the press release from ArchiveSocial about North Carolina’s new Social Media Archive, and keep watching as new functionality is added to the site in the coming months!
