Three more Public Records workshops for local government

The Local Records Unit of the Government Records Center is pleased to announce three more workshops in the eastern part of North Carolina (east of I-77).  All of these workshops will be using our updated format, and will cover Public Records Law, Records Management, Using a Records Retention and Disposition Schedule (including a discussion of the most recent updates to our schedules), E-mail, Electronic Records, and Disaster Preparedness and Recovery.  They will all be held from 1-4 p.m. in their respective locations.

All workshops are free of charge, and are open to all local government employees and elected officials.  These workshops are intended to be regional in nature.  

Our three new workshop locations and dates are:

If you would like to attend one of these workshops, please contact Emily Hanna (Emily.Hanna@ncdcr.gov) for a registration form.  We will confirm your registration by email, and send out a reminder one week before the workshop for the location you have indicated. We would prefer to receive all completed registrations no later than October 8.  Spaces for the workshops will fill on a first-come, first-served basis.
