On the Road Again: Local Records Unit

Local Records Analyst Emily Hanna presenting a workshop in the Town of Cary Town Council chambers.

August has been a busy and productive month for the Local Records Unit. Staff presented four Managing Public Records workshops to over 200 participants. Our most recent trip was to the Town of Cary, who graciously allowed us to present our workshop in their spacious town council chambers. Fifty people attended. The Town of Cary was well-represented, but other participants came from as far away as Winston-Salem and Southern Pines. The evaluations are always helpful to us, particularly when you tell us subjects we need to spend more time with and how we can improve.  Of course it is always gratifying to receive comments telling us what a great job we did. A couple of highlights from the Cary workshop: “Well-organized, answers lots of questions about many different topics related to public records” and “Wildly entertaining, helpful, and clearly presented.”
The Local Records Unit would like to thank everyone who has attended our workshops. We still have room for you to attend our upcoming workshops. Check here for dates, locations and how to sign up.
