City of Raleigh wins bronze in Best of the Web 2012

Government Technology has announced the 2012 Best of the Web awards, which evaluate state, county, and municipal websites.  The announcement states that these awards

…[honor] governments whose websites demonstrate innovation, usability and maximum functionality for users. Best of the Web honorees have sites that also contribute to governmental efficiency by contributing to effective service delivery.

The city of Raleigh, North Carolina took third place in the competitive City Portal category, after Louisville, Kentucky, and Arvada, Colorado.  Congratulations to the hard-working staff who have continued to make the city’s functions accessible to the public via the World Wide Web, and to the other states, counties, and cities who placed.  Raleigh’s website can be found at www.raleighnc.gov, and the full list of award winners can be found here.
