The Local Records Unit of the Government Records Center is pleased to announce another round of regional Managing Public Records Workshops during the months of August and September. All workshops will be held from 1 to 4 p.m., and cover Public Records Laws, Records Management, Using the Retention and Disposition Schedule, Managing Electronic Records, and E-Mail as a Public Record. This is the first time the three-hour workshop has gone on the road since its recent update.
All workshops are free of charge, and are open to all local government employees and elected officials. The large, regional workshops that we have booked so far are listed below. We also anticipate another set of workshops, covering the western half of the state, around October.

If you would like to attend one of these workshops, please contact Emily Hanna (Emily.Hanna@ncdcr.gov) for a registration form. We will confirm your registration by email, and send out a reminder one week before the workshop for the location you have indicated. We would prefer to receive all completed registrations no later than August 15. Spaces for the workshops will fill on a first-come, first-served basis.
