Local Records Unit on the Road

This blog post presented by Tom Vincent, Local Records Unit Supervisor.

As mentioned in Thursday’s post, the Local Records Unit frequently offers workshops, both at our office in Raleigh and in your offices.  On Thursday, the Local Records Unit traveled to Carolina Beach and delivered a 90 minute workshop on Public Records Law, using the Records Retention and Disposition Schedule, and E-Mail Management.

Carie Chesarino, Emily Hanna, and Tom Vincent presented the workshop to town staff who were very welcoming and interested in the information and help we had to offer.

Over the next couple weeks, we will be booking facilities for a series of Managing Public Records workshops throughout the state. Watch this space for announcements of the workshops and news about updates to Records Retention and Disposition Schedules.
